FIA for All, the campaign led by FIA Presidential Candidate Graham Stoker, has pledged to strengthen the FIA’s links with international sports federations and the global sports community.
In his role as FIA Deputy President for Sport, Stoker already represents the FIA at the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), the IOC-recognized association based in Lausanne. He also works closely with the other power sport federations such as FIM, UIM, and FAI and he represents FIA Sport at the EU Sport Congress.
Going forward, he would like to see the FIA take an even more prominent role on the world stage.
Stoker said: “Strengthening links with the IOC, GAISF and the major world sports federations is an absolute necessity for us as a modern, world-leading sports federation. We have so much to offer and in fact we can be seen as a leading light to follow in many areas, such as sustainability, diversity and peace through sport.”
This view has been endorsed by Raffaele Chiulli, President of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sport Federations (ARISF), Member of GAISF and President of UIM, international governing body of powerboating, who said: “I would like to express my appreciation for the continued commitment of Graham Stoker within the global sport community, which contributed to establish a strong and effective relationship with the FIA.
“Over the years, Graham has been consolidating a deep understanding of the lnternational Federations community which has enabled him to be a highly effective advocate for the cause of the motor sport, which I am honoured to also represent as President of the UIM.
“I hope to keep on relying on his invaluable experience and views as we move to a more sustainable future, a topic where the FIA is certainly a pioneer leading guide. Looking forward to continuing working together, I wish Graham the best of success.”
